Citrus County Supervisor of Elections Susan Gill has renewed her request for more office space.

She told the Citrus County Chronicle that between needing to accommodate added electronic equipment and keep ballots secure, her staff is running out of room.

The county has offered storage space in another building, but Gill is worried that wouldn't guarantee the security of the ballots and equipment.

She is inviting county commissioners to visit her office and check out the problems firsthand.

The Supervisor of Elections Office has been housed in the old Coca-Cola bottling plant next to the courthouse for 32 years.
