Age is just a number for Everyday Hero Rosemarie Blitch. The 77-year-old is dealing with arthritis that could sideline her. Instead, Rosemarie made a choice to keep moving.

“I decided maybe if I start moving around it will help me. So I started walking," Rosemarie said.

Rosemarie is walking up to seven miles a day. And on those walks, she helps her Hillsborough County neighborhoods curb appeal, cleaning up trash left behind. Rosemarie collects soda cans, fast food wrappers and other garbage.

“And then people started paying attention to me and they were waving at me and they were shouting at me. They were yelling at me wishing me a good day and then they started saying thank you,” Rosemarie said.

Rosemarie says her daily walks make her feel safer because so many neighborhood people have gotten to know her.
