A deep upper level trough digging into the northeastern Gulf of Mexico from the north is pushing a cold front into northern Florida.  It will bring in a cooler and drier air mass.

North-northwest low level flow will persist through the end of the work week.

As the cold front moves in, drier air will gradually filter in with dew points lowering later on Friday.

A few showers will be expected mostly over the Gulf waters through morning, though the limited moisture will keep rain chances through Friday at 20 percent.

As we enter the weekend, Hurricane Joaquin will still be positioned east of the peninsula near the central Bahamas. An upper level trough will build in and ultimately push Joaquin north and away from the Bahamas.

Closer to home, an upper level low will develop over northern Florida.

The area looks to be fairly dry on Saturday with only a few isolated showers possible.

Latest trends show that on Sunday the low should be able to bring in some more moist air in to the area around the western periphery of the system. It looks like we should be able to squeeze out some showers across the area.

With increased cloud cover and the rain potential temperatures will come down a bit.
