Showers and a few storms have finished up for the day. A few spots saw 1” to 1.25” of rain: Palm River, Riverview, Winter Haven and southwest Polk County.  Highs Saturday were 85 to 88 degrees, right around normal.

There will be a few showers on the Gulf through the morning ahead of the cold front.  So there may be a stray shower along the coast through morning.  The front will move south of the area during Sunday.  Lows will run just above normal while highs stay around normal Sunday.  The cooler and drier air will push in and be more noticeable Sunday night and Monday.

For the work week, persistent upper-level troughing will develop from the great lakes down into the Mid-Atlantic States into mid-week.  So several frontal boundaries will move into Florida, reinforcing the dry air in place.  Since the dew points will stay relatively low, our morning lows will stay a little below normal all week. Weak cold fronts look to come through early Thursday then another early Saturday.  A stray shower will be possible Friday afternoon ahead of another front.

High temperatures look to remain seasonably warm, in the 80s. With post-frontal drier air, lows will generally range from the upper 60s Tampa Bay to near 60 north.
