A new parking garage is one step closer to making parking easier on Clearwater Beach.
City leaders put on hard hats and grabbed shovels to kick off construction.
The garage will provide more than 700 parking spaces and 11,000 square feet of retail space in the East Shore Marina District.
Nearby property owners will also be able to use the garage.
