For Nicole Kennerly, a lot has changed in four years. It all began with a dream for the registered nurse.

"I had a dream and it was a very vivid dream," Kennerly said.  "And it had basically three different poses.  Three different things and it has to do with violence."

The dream came on the heels of news of an especially horrific event concerning a child in the Bay area.

She told co-workers about it.

"I talked to her about my dream and she was like 'Go for it!'  I have never had any photographic experience or anything but it was something I felt I needed to do," Kennerly said.

She created 'Power of Three' and found two professional photographers to volunteer their time.

And the cameras began clicking.  Pictures of people in silent protest.

She has also been taught and is now taking pictures as well. Many of the photographs can be seen on her organization's Facebook page.

Kennerly will also be launching a 'Power of Three' website in the coming months.  Her hope to expand the photo sessions beyond the Bay Area.  Taking a stand against the epidemic of the many forms of violence in our society.

"It's an adventure for me to give back," Kennerly said.  "A lot of times there are not a lot of good samaritans and I would like to consider myself one of them.  Somebody who just genuinely likes to do for others."
