One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Town 'n' Country on Friday evening.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Lawrence Lockhart Jr., 83, of Tampa, was crossing Sheldon Road at Wood Lake Boulevard around 3:50 p.m. when he was struck in the drivers side by the front of a southbound 2015 Cadillac.

Lockhart was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he died from the injuries sustained in the crash. Deputies said the Cadillac was stolen and they are looking for the driver who ran from the scene of the crash.

The suspect was captured on video leaving the scene.

The driver of the stolen Cadillac is a woman, approximately 5'6, 140 pounds with long reddish brown hair.  She walked to the Radiant Convenience store where she obtained a ride from the scene.  

The sheriff's office said the Cadillac was reported stolen from Orlando International Airport recently.

A portion of Sheldon Road was blocked for most of the night.
