The city of Largo has been recognized for its financial reporting.
Largo received the Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the city's most recent comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
The GFOA is a nonprofit association serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago and Washington.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition that can be received in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to a news release.
