Five men arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a bar in St. Petersburg are suspected in a string of recent bar robberies in the Manatee County area, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
No charges have been filed from the sheriff's office at this time. The robberies remain under investigation. The sheriff's office says there have been four armed robberies over the past three weeks.
Detectives said between September and October, robberies took place at the Three Oaks Bar, located at 3503 U.S 301 N. in Ellenton, at the Oasis Bar, located at 6006 Manatee Ave. W. in Bradenton, at Bubba's Too, at 5435 15th St E., Bradenton and at Scalawags Bar at 1112 Whitfield Ave.
