The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three infant deaths in the last few weeks.
According to the sheriff’s office, the deaths are unrelated. Each case is still an active investigation, but no foul play is expected at this time.
Other parents in Hernando County have no need to worry at this point, said Denise Moloney, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s office.
“It’s just three tragic infant deaths that are unrelated,” Moloney said.
A spokesperson for the Hernando Department of Health said the deaths are not a public health concern at this point.
