A 56-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in Tampa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Curtis Lee Roundtree was killed in the crash at 56th Street and Society Park Boulevard near King High School just before 10 p.m.
Roundtree was walking westbound across 56th Street when hit by a Cadillac CTS sedan driven by April Lavern Walker.
Troopers said Walker, 40, observed southbound traffic on 56th Street was slowing in front of her and she changed lanes into the outside lane. When she did, her vehicle collided with Roundtree.
He died at the scene.
Walker was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
