After Black Friday, shoppers are thinking small.

Saturday was Small Business Saturday, which encouraged shoppers to shop locally.

"It’s so great for us to see the community to come out and rally around us and it’s not that they are looking for a discount or they’re out shopping for themselves, they are wanting to give back to the community,” said David Hansen, Owner and CFO of Christopher Wayne Home.

There’s nothing small about the day. The shops said it’s the highest grossing day of the year.

"Every year it snowballs and I think people make a conscious effort to shop locally the whole year, but this brings more attention to it,” said Gregory Curtis, Co-owner of the Cleanse Apothecary.

Christopher Wayne Home and the Cleanse Apothecary were two of more than a dozen Seminole Heights shops that participated in the 2015 Shop Hop.

"I think it’s great to keep the money in the community as much as you can and help out the people who are starting a businesses and making a community what it is,” shopper Robin Didden said.

Shoppers got a chance to win raffles and prizes all day long.
