An arrest has been made in connection with the deaths of two homeless people in Tampa.
According to deputies, Ricky Fitzgerald Hathorn, 46, admitted to beating Tommy Skeens, 52, and Lara Kuchar, 45, who were discovered at 7:26 a.m. Saturday outside a vacant gas station on E. Hillsborough Avenue.
Throughout the investigation, detectives learned that Hathorn was with Skeens and Kuchar on Satruday morning.
A large piece of wood that was saturated with blood was found at the scene.
Kuchar was found exposed and a used condom was found near her body. It was learned that a few days earlier, Hathorn had made advances to Kucher and she declined his advances.
Hathorn was charged with first-degree felony murder, sexual battery with a deadly weapon, and second-degree murder with a weapon.
