A motorcyclist died Saturday morning after police said he was involved in a crash in St. Petersburg.
The crash happened at 1:11 a.m. in the 1500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street S.
Christopher Shaw, 34, was riding a Harley Davidson south on MLK Street when it veered to the left and hit a raised concrete median and road sign.
Shaw, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the road, police said.
Shaw was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he died at 10:50 a.m.
Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
