Two University of South Florida grads have created a robotic pick-up artist to help Tinder users better connect with matches.

It’s called Casanova.

“Casanova is the world’s greatest pick-up artist of all time and he lives again,” developer Alex Kessler said.

Kessler and his business partner Paul Terentev at PartPixels wanted to come up with a way to connect to more matches on Tinder.

"What we have to do is cater a message specifically to someone in order to get their attention because a girl is getting said, 'hey or hi' 100 to 200 times a day,” Kessler said.

Here’s how it works: Casanova connects to your Tinder account and scans profiles. It then sends a personal message to a match based on the match’s bio.

"It’s probably going to be funny if it deemed you to be susceptive to humor or romantic if we found out you were romantic based on our analysis,” Kessler said.

Casanova’s mission? To get your phone number. After that, you’re on your own.

"We are getting about 25 percent to 30 percent of them are giving us the number,” Kessler said. “We have response rates of over 80 percent across the board."

Kessler said Casanova also works for single women looking for men.

Kessler said Casanova should be available as a mobile app in the next few weeks. The company then has its sights set on improving the program and moving on to using it with bigger dating sites like match.com.
