One Pinellas County woman is using her experience as a single mom to give back to the community.

Andrea Clark runs the charity M.O.M., Inc, which stands for Mothers of Minors. Clark started the organization in 2014 and with the help of volunteers, adopted 50 families in need of Christmas presents this year.

“We have dolls, remote control cars, action figures,” Clark said.

There are enough presents for nearly 150 children but, Clark said there are still more than a dozen whose wish lists need to be fulfilled. On top of that, she said M.O.M., Inc. is still getting last-minute requests.

“We’re still getting calls from people asking if we have room for one more family, because there is such a great need out here,” said Clark.

If you would like to help, you can drop donations off at Florida Citrus Country, located at 301 South Belcher Road in Clearwater.  The store will be accepting donations until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

You can also make a donation online.

“Any amount helps,” Clark said. “There is no amount too small to help us put a smile on a child’s face for Christmas.”
