Here's what you need to know about today's weather:

  • Thick clouds have held down temperatures
  • Humidity is high, conditions are breezy
  • Slight chance of showers through evening

Skies will remain mostly cloudy into Thursday morning. There will be areas of fog with some reduced visibilities.  Morning lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Morning clouds will give way to partly sunny skies in the afternoon.  That will allow for warmer highs reaching the mid 80s. Therefore we could tie or break a record high for the date.

The warm, muggy conditions will prevail through Christmas weekend without much change.

Christmas Eve will be one for shorts and t-shirts.  Warm lows with some fog possible.

Christmas Day could be the warmest on record in some spots.  Partly sunny and humid for December.  Highs lower to middle 80s.

No changes for the weekend with rain chances 20 percent of less.

There are finally some signs that around January 1st the pattern will start to change with some cooler air making it into the eastern U.S.
