St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman says he's banning Donald Trump from his city after the Republican presidential candidate called for the U.S. to stop Muslims from entering the country.
Playing off of Trump's earlier words, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman tweeted Monday that he was banning Trump "until we fully understand the dangerous threat posed by all Trumps.''

His post was retweeted more than 1,200 times in about an hour.
Trump's proposed ban is in response to what he called hatred among "large segments of the Muslim population'' toward Americans.
Trump said the ban should be implemented "until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses.''
Trump's proposal was quickly condemned by other Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.

Senate GOP front runner and Florida Congressman David Jolly has called on Donald Trump to resign his bid for the presidency after blasting the real estate mogul for his latest round of bigoted, hate-filled rhetoric.
"While ISIS is beheading innocent people for their religious practices, Trump is betraying our freedoms," Jolly said in a released statement. "His brutal, bullying bigotry runs contrary to the very principles our forefathers fought so hard to defend. We are either a party of protecting the constitution and religious liberties or we're not. America should insist on a security test but never a religious test.
For over a year Jolly has called on Congress to debate and pass an Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF) to aggressively engage and defeat ISIS. Jolly has likewise repeatedly implored the President to do more to confront the threat of radical terror.
"Our national security is the only lens through which we should make decisions regarding the destruction of terror. But we can do so without fundamentally abandoning our most basic tenets of religious freedom. I am a born-again Christian who opposes any religious litmus test that defies everything we believe in."
