Authorities are ramping up their search for a 33-year-old Brandon woman who vanished early Thursday after leaving an Ybor City bar.

Apryl Foster typically stays in contact with her family and talks or texts with her mother every day, but she hasn't been in known contact with anyone since she was last seen, Tampa police said at a news conference Monday.

According to investigators, Foster met friends at the Bad Monkey bar in Ybor City on Wednesday night after finishing her shift at at Ulele, a trendy Tampa Heights restaurant. Foster is a trainer there and "is known for her work ethic and has never missed work without calling," police said.

Foster left the bar just after midnight with a man she met there, and they went next door to the Double Decker to sing karaoke.

The pair left around 2:20 a.m., but Foster forgot her phone and ran back inside to get it, police said. She returned to the sidewalk and exchange numbers with the man. Surveillance video from outside the bar shows the two talking, then walking away in separate directions, police said.

Foster's mother reported her daughter missing Friday morning and, on Friday afternoon, a Hillsborough County sheriff's deputy crawled through a window of her home to check on her. He did not find anything suspicious at the time, investigators said Monday.

Investigators also noted Monday that Foster has cats and wouldn't leave them without care this long.

Deputies determined Friday that Foster hadn't been seen since leaving the Double Decker, and Tampa police became involved Saturday. Foster's parents arrived from Texas on Monday morning to help with the search.

Although investigators still haven't discovered any evidence of foul play, they say they're concerned for Foster's safety. Police Chief Jane Castor called Foster's disappearance "very suspicious."

Detectives have have interviewed Foster's friends, family and estranged husband, as well as her boyfriend and the man she left the bar with.

"Everyone has been cooperative with the investigation," police said.
