Lights On Tampa is back.

Downtown Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park and Kiley Gardens will be colorfully illuminated Friday and Saturday.

In addition to lighting up buildings and projecting colorful images, this year's event also will light up the Hillsborough River. Or at least a few underwater parts of it. River Glow is an underwater installation aimed at drawing patrons to the Riverwalk.

The event will kick off at 6:30 and ends at 11:00 p.m. and multiple artworks will be installed in and around the park.

Additionally, Lights On Tampa will feature performances, which will take place both nights at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

As with all previous Lights On projects, some will be temporary with one remaining as permanent contributions to our downtown.
