The man at the helm of the boat that crashed into a Ruskin restaurant has been cited.

Matthew Santiago, 31, has been cited for reckless operation in the crash, which happened Monday afternoon.

Investigators said Santiago was operating the 39-foot SeaVee that left the water and crashed into the Sunset Grill in Little Harbor. They say fog was a factor in the crash that left the boat lodged in the restaurant.

Officials were back at the restaurant on Tuesday trying to figure out how to remove the vessel from the building. They say it's going to take some heavy machinery to get the boat out of the building, and it will be a slow process.

The crash caused structural damage to the building, and part of the roof will need to be removed to get it out.

The boat is expected to be removed Wednesday.  There's no word as to when the restaurant will reopen.
