Craig Wall, representing himself in the sentencing phase of his murder trial, presented several home videos Wednesday.

Wall pleaded guilty last week for stabbing Laura Taft to death in 2010 and pleaded no contest to the murder of his 5-week-old son.

Videos showed Wall, a pregnant Laura Taft and Taft’s older son at Christmas. He says he showed the clips to demonstrate he was a good father. While the videos were being shown, Wall repeatedly Taft and her parenting skills into question.

Taft’s mother was in the courtroom and cried.

Wall also showed emotion Wednesday. He was visibly distraught while talking about a suicide tape he recorded after his baby’s death. He asked to leave the courtroom while it played.

Wall said he took sleeping pills and drank a Mountain Dew before recording himself, which included the following comments:

"I just want to video record just for the record that I have made a last will and testament."

"I miss my son, I just want my son back, I just want him back. I can't keep doing this, I can’t keep hurting like this, I can't do it anymore."

"I'm sorry I was ever upset at him, I never hurt him but I'm sorry I told him to be quiet, to shut up when he was screaming. I wish I didn't do it now, I so wish I never said anything wrong to him."

Medical experts have testified the five-week-old baby died from head trauma consistent with abuse.

Wall is expected to continue representing himself Friday, when he says he will show more videos and call more witnesses, including a medical examiner.

Wall says he wants the death penalty.
