Deadly crashes hindered Bay area roads early Wednesday morning.

There were fatal crashes in Lakeland and Plant City, as well as an overturned tractor-trailer in Hillsborough County.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 4 were closed at State Road 33 early today due to a fatal crash just after 5 a.m.

In Plant City, a head-on crash involving a motorcycle closed the intersection U.S. 92 and Turkey Creek Road due to a head-on crash with a car and a motorcycle.

In Tampa, a semi carrying milk overturned on the US 301 ramp to Interstate 4 just before 4 a.m. Randolph suffered minor injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the semi, 50-year-old Michael Randolph, Sr. failed to negotiate the curve from southbound US 301. He lost control of the semi and it overturned on the curve.

The trailer collapsed in the crash and milk was spilled into the median.

Authorities have not released information as of yet on the fatal crashes.
