A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Brandon.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Justin M. Clay, 38, was walking eastbound on the south sidewalk of Lumsden Road at 9:50 p.m. when he entered the intersection of John Moore Road against a pedestrian signal.
He was struck by a 2006 Toyota Scion being driven by Wen Qi Xiong, 43, who suffered minor injuries. Xiong's passenger, Xiu Ying Yang, 41, also suffered minor injuries.
Clay, of Valrico, was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
