Five people were arrested Friday after deputies said an active meth lab was found in a St. Petersburg home.

The arrests were the culmination of a month-long investigation that start with undercover detectives buying methamphetamine, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation led detectives to a house at 2500 19th St. N, where detectives said suspects were operating a meth lab.

On Friday at 11:41 a.m., detectives along with the SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home and found an active meth lab inside the home.

Three people - Penni D. Waters, 51; Daniel Waters, 56; and Karen Galvez, 46 - were inside the home at the time. All three were arrested and charged with manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine.

In addition, Roswell A. Merrill, 54, and Trenton A. Parduh, 43, were arrested. Deputies said the two were seen leaving the house just before the search warrant was executed, and so detectives pulled them over and arrested them on charges of possession of methamphetamine.

Investigators took chemicals and equipment used to manufacture meth from the home.

The investigation continues.
