A vigil at a Dunedin cemetery Sunday afternoon came with a message: the community has not forgotten about the 2002 murder of Clarence Bolden.

Bolden's widow, Andrea, walked toward friends and family gathered at her late-husband's grave, with tears in her eyes. Family and friends held balloons, and wore shirts with Clarence's photo.

"I am pleading and begging that someone..you only can do one thing right and that's just come forward," Bolden said. "I'm standing and I'm still waiting for justice. It's been 13 long years. Please come forward. That's just one thing you can do right."

On Feb. 7, 2002, Clearwater police say Clarence Bolden was playing cards at a house on Fulton Street when he was shot and killed during an attempted robbery by two masked men.

There have been no arrests, and the case has gone cold.

At the vigil, friends shared memories of Bolden, who they say was a well-liked member of the community. They asked that anyone with information come forward and give those who knew and loved him some closure.

"Collect the reward money," friend Adrian Jackson said. "I mean, come on, you can use it. I mean, these people around here need some closure. I need some closure. We all need some closure. Why are you not saying something? Somebody knows something. A lot of people know something."

Investigators, who stood among the friends and family at the vigil, are hoping at least one person comes forward with new information.

Bolden also left behind a daughter, who Andrea said was too upset to attend the vigil.

A balloon release followed prayers, as Clarence's loved ones continue to wait for answers in the case.
