Ajax, the St. Petersburg Police K9 bitten by a rattlesnake last week while chasing a suspect, is recovering and helping hand out donuts Thursday.
Donations are being collected for the Special Olympics during "Cops on Doughnuts" today at locations across the Bay area.
Ajax, along with Brooklyn the police horse, SPPD Chief Anthony Holloway and Mayor Rick Kriseman will be at the Krispy Kreme location at 9100 4th Street North until 10 a.m.
Krispy Kreme locations in Tampa (3113 Kennedy Blvd.) and Lakeland (4209 S. Florida Ave.) also are participating.
