More than 100 students and parents gathered in Zephyrhills High School's common area in hopes of reaching a common ground with the school's principal over the bathroom break policy.

Teachers now have to call an administrator to take kids to the bathroom.

"It makes me feel degrading for my kids,” said Parent John Witzke.

John witzke expressed his anger over the policy by protesting outside the school. He tried to attend the meeting on the inside but says he was kicked out.

“I had questions that were valid and instead of answering the question, the principal had me escorted out," said Witzke.

Other parents like Myra Binnicker chose to just walk out.

"There are a lot of angry parents mixed in with kids; it was not a good situation,” said Myra Binnicker.

Myra's daughter Hanna also walked out with her mom.

"I feel like our opinions were not being valued,” said Hanna Binnicker.

But John Witzke's daughter Kylee who started the protests earlier this week says the two hour long meeting was productive.

"I think overall we got our points a crossed, the principal was very accommodating and considering of us,” said Kylee Witzke.

The principal isn't getting rid of the escorts, but says he and his staff are willing to explore other options.

"Maybe we need to look at students with referrals who had issues before, maybe limit their passing and not make this as restrictive for everybody on campus,"  said Zephyrhills Principal, Andrew Frelick.

Frelick principal said he is still looking into other ideas as well, but one thing he says he is sure of is that there will always be some sort of supervision to ensure a safer environment around campus.
