Dundee town commissioners have give their initial approval for a 10 percent tax on water services.

According to The Ledger of Lakeland, a second vote is set for April 28. If it passes, residents will see the tax on their June water bills.

It's the highest amount the state allows a municipality to charge. Dundee would receive about $50,000 to $60,000 from the tax. The money would be used for repairs, maintenance and other water-related work.
