A huge mural is set to go on display in Crystal River.

According to partner newspaper the Citrus County Chronicle, the 12-foot-by-4-foot painting will be unveiled Friday at the Crystal River Archaeological Park Museum.

Meant to highlight the history of the Nature Coast's Native Americans, the mural was painted by artist Marcia K. Moore.

The mural depicts a scene from Florida circa 700 A.D.

There will be a public showing of the painting will during the park’s Moon Over the Mounds event. That event begins at 6 p.m. and involves a guided tour of the Mounds Complex.

There is a suggested donation of $20.
