Bay area residents can expect a warm day today.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler along the coast but much warmer inland.

"It will be partly sunny today," Marquez said. "And dry and warm. It may even reach the mid to upper 80s inland."

There is a cold front to the north of Florida moving toward the area.

The cold front will arrive by Thursday night, bringing a 20 percent rain chance. However, the much cooler air is not expected to reach the Bay area. Temperatures will take a dip, though, falling back into the mid 70s Friday through Monday.

There are some areas of sea fog this morning. There is a dense fog advisory for inland Pasco, inland Hernando and inland Citrus Counties until 9 a.m.
