Dramatic video of a mid-air skydiving rescue over Western Australia is blowing up on social media.

It show 22-year-old Christopher Jones of Perth, Australia suffering a seizure at 9,000 feet before he could open his parachute.

The near-tragedy happened on a training jump last November and was released on Youtube on Sunday. Jones spent 30 seconds unconscious, plummeting toward the ground at more than 120 mph, before regaining consciousness.

The video captured by instructor Sheldon McFarlane's helmet camera shows McFarlane twice trying to grab Jones and pull his ripcord. He finally succeeds at about 4,000 feet.

"Possibly the scariest moment of my life," Jones wrote. "Thankfully, my jump master manages to pull my ripcord at around 4,000 feet. I become conscious at 3,000 feet and land safely back to the ground."

Jones reportedly had a history of epilepsy, but hadn't suffered a seizure in years. A caregiver had written a letter to the WA Skydiving Academy pronouncing him fit for skydiving.

The jump was the end of his skydiving career, Jones told the Australian Times.

As of Wednesday morning, the Youtube video had nearly 12 million views.
