Police have arrested a 16-year-old who they say shot two people as they walked along 25th Avenue E in the College Hills area of east Tampa.
The accused shooter, whom Bay News 9 is not identifying because of his age, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and being a minor in possession of a firearm.
Police said Demarcus Terrell Veal, 16, and Joshua Aaron Ricks, 18, were walking along 25th Avenue in the 3100 block when they were shot in the abdomen. They were transported to Tampa General Hospital, where they are in stable condition.
