Voters in northern Hillsborough and northeast Pinellas counties can cast their ballots now in special election for the District 64 seat in the Florida House of Representatives.

Incumbent Republican Jamie Grant was declared the winner of District 64 election last November, but an appeals court ruled that a write-in candidate was wrongly withdrawn from the race. Gov. Rick Scott called a special election. Grant faces write-in candidate Daniel Matthews.

Election Day is April 21, but early voting is underway.

Voters should bring a Florida Driver License or other current and valid photo and signature identification to vote. Voters who do not bring ID may vote a provisional ballot.

Vote By mail ballots must be received Election Day. A voted Vote By Mail ballot cannot be accepted at polling places on Election Day.

District 64 includes Carrollwood, Citrus Park, Oldsmar, East Lake and Safety Harbor.
