Deputies are looking for a man they said robbed a Parrish convenience store, then tried to sexually assault the clerk.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the man entered the store at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, walked around the counter and removed about $40 from the cash register.
Deputies said the suspect told the clerk he had a gun and was reaching under her shirt as he said this. After he took the money from the register, he tried to sexually assault the woman, but she was able to break away and run out of the store.
The suspect then fled the store on foot. Deputies said the suspect's vehicle may possibly be a white four-door Mercury.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 30s, wearing a camouflage baseball-style hat, a black Fila shirt with a white F on it, black shorts and white shoes.
