Emergency roof repair loans are being made available to homeowners in Hernando County.

The program is available for qualified Hernando County residents who have been notified by their homeowner insurance carrier that they must have their roof replaced or face the loss of their homeowners insurance.

Homeowners can now apply for a loan of up to $10,000 through the Emergency Roof Repair program. This 20-year loan is available at zero interest.

To qualify, the home must be the homeowner's primary residence and property taxes and mortgage payments must be current.

Homeowners must also meet the following gross income guidelines:

  • 1 person household $20,650
  • 2 person household $23,600
  • 3 person household $26,550
  • 4 person household $29,500

This program is funded through the State Housing Incentives Partnership program.
