With high humidity, high heat, and now thunderstorms it feels more like summer than April.

A line of thunderstorms pushed in from the Gulf Sunday afternoon and evening, bringing gusty winds and rain.

Belleair had a wind gust to 44 mph with the storms coming through Pinellas County. Tampa International Airport had a wind gust of 41 mph.

Some power lines were down in Pinellas Park on 66th Street.

"The rainfall totals were not high since the storms moved quickly," said Bay News 9 Meteorologist Diane Kacmarik.

An approaching front will raise the rain chances to 80 percent Monday.

“It will be quiet for part of the night and then late tonight more storms and showers will be developing,” said Kacmarik. “As we head into Monday rain chances will be high all day long."

The rain chances Tuesday will fall off to 40 percent, and by midweek, at least some parts of the Tampa Bay area could see lower humidity.

High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s today (with a 30 percent rain chance), but only the low 80s tomorrow and Tuesday because of cloud cover.
