After Monday's weather that brought some severe storms to parts of the Bay area, residents can expect quieter conditions today.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, skies will be mostly to partly cloudy today with chances of a few showers - but nothing like yesterday.

"A front will work its way through the Bay area today," Marquez said. "Today's rain chances will be a lot lower as the cold front moves south of our area."

High temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s today.

The slightly cooler conditions will continue tonight, making for a less humid start to Wednesday.

There is a chance of scattered showers on Wednesday before Thursday's 40 percent chance of showers.
