Crystal River is experiencing an increase in tourism.
An estimated 378,000 out-of-county guests stayed in Citrus County in 2014, the Citrus County Chronicle reported, and about 75 percent of the county's hotels are located in Crystal River.
Crystal River's main draw is the manatees that swim in its waters. The growing national and international media coverage given to the manatees is attracting more visitors.
