A front that has stalled just south of the Bay area will keep the northern part of the region drier today.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, there will be some lower humidity today but in southern areas like parts of Hillsborough, Polk and Manatee counties, there will be a little more cloud cover and a chance of isolated showers.

"There will be drier air for most of the area today," Marquez said. "But the front, along with the seabreeze will keep a rain chance mainly in the southern parts of the Bay area."

Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s today.

Rain chances will jump to 50 percent Thursday and temperatures will be warmer and more humid by the end of the week.
