For one day only the public can tour the Lakeland Tudor style home that was moved last year and take something home.

Kristy Scott and her husband Abdiel Gonzalez’ clothing line, 5th and Hall, are setting up their clothes inside of the Tudor home for a pop-up shop on Saturday.

“The pop-up is a way for the community to touch and feel, try on, buy, purchase. It’s a way for them to meet us and a way for us to introduce the brand to them,” Gonzalez said.

It’s a dream come true for Scott, who has always dreamed of living in the home.

“Growing up, I saw this house and just loved it and always said this is my dream house if I could ever live anywhere in Lakeland,” Scott said.

And now she’s finally got the keys.

People will also get to see the inside of the Tudor style home in its new spot on Florida Avenue. Hundreds came out to watch contractors move the home from Lake Hollingsworth last year to keep it from being demolished.

The Tudor home project is far from over. There’s still an additional portion that will be added on to the back of this existing building. It’s what the owner, Gregory Fancelli calls prime real estate for whatever new business wants to open up there.

“Right now the only ones that have expressed interest have been Kristy and Abdiel with 5th and Hall,” Fancelli said. “We hope that their success will also draw in more perspective tenants to have more neat, creative, interesting items to bring to this area.”

That addition to the Tudor building is expected to be completed by September of this year.
