Deputies arrested a man they said exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl as she walked home from school in Brandon.
Shain Armijo, 24, of Brandon, was charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the girl was walking near the intersection of Terrace Drive and Cranberry Lane at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday when she was approached by Armijo who was driving a faded blue 2004 Ford Explorer.
Deputies said Armijo asked the girl how old she was and told her she was cute. They said he then exposed himself to her and began to perform a sex act on himself, after which he drove off.
Officials believe Armijo is responsible for at least two other similar incidents. All of the victim's are approximately the same age, between 12 and 14 years old.
In each of the incidents Armijo would get the child's attention by asking them some generic question and have them approach the vehicle where he would be masturbating.
Detectives believe that there may be other incidents or victims which have gone unreported.
