Two Tampa police officers were investigating a potential drunk driving case Saturday night when another drunk driver crashed into one of their patrol cars, police say.
Nicole Marie Schnell, 32, of Tampa was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with property damage.
According to police, the officers had conducted a traffic stop at Kennedy Boulevard and Orleans Street and had parked their patrol vehicles facing east on Kennedy with their strobe lights on.
Schnell drove her 2012 Ford Mustang into one of the police vehicles, knocking it into the other one.
Neither Schnell nor the officers were injured. The officers were not in their vehicles at the time of the impact.
