Bay area residents can expect lower rain chances the rest of Wednesday afternoon.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, there is a chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

"After heavy showers and thunderstorms yesterday, we are looking at a lower rain chance today," Marquez said. "That will be followed by some cooler, drier air."

Conditions will be breezy Wednesday afternoon and temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s.

A cold front moves through our area tonight and Thursday morning with a chance of isolated showers. Drier conditions will move in behind the front and there will be decreasing clouds and cooler conditions by Thursday.

There will be pleasant days to end the workweek with lower humidity. Highs only expected in the upper 70s on Friday. Morning temperatures will be in the 50s to mid 60s.
