A new traffic study puts Tampa Bay in the top 15 U.S. cities with the worst congestion.

The study, conducted by GPS maker Tom Tom, places Tampa Bay at No. 11, above cities like Boston and Atlanta.

“We rank above Boston in traffic right now? That’s pretty sad,” said driver Victor Barroso.

The study compiles traffic information using the company’s GPS systems. Tampa has a 25% congestion level, although it shows interstates aren’t the worst part of the problem.

Other roads, like Dale Mabry, prove to be more congested at peak times of the day.

Tuesday mornings and Friday evening commutes tend to have the heaviest traffic, according to the study.

For every half an hour commute, drivers spend an extra 19 minutes on the road stuck in congestion. That means per year, a Tampa Bay driver will spend a full three extra days stuck behind the wheel.

Miami is the only other Florida city that ranked in the top 15. It came in at No. 7.
