A Spring Hill man died Wednesday evening after running into the back of a school bus at a railroad crossing, authorities said.
Wale Alan Varney, 57, failed to stop his 1998 Mercury Racer and crashed into the bus on westbound State Road 50, east of Mitchell Road, around 5 p.m. He died at the scene.
No children were aboard the bus, and the driver, Juan Enrique Rivera, 51, of Spring Hill, was not charged.
