A one-year-old girl was seriously injured Monday night in Manatee County in a hit-and-run crash.
The crash happened at 5:45 p.m. on 27th Street East near Sixth Avenue East in Palmetto.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a Ford Taurus ran a stop sign and slammed into a Nissan Sentra being driven by a 21-year-old woman with a baby in the car.
The infant was taken to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg with critical injuries. The woman only suffered minor injuries.
After the crash, the driver of the Taurus left the scene on foot and has not been located.
