Pasco firefighters battling brush fire in Hudson area

A brush fire in the Hudson area has grown to over 200 acres in size.

The fire is in the area of Old Dixie Highway and Gulf Way.

Pasco County firefighters and the Division of Forestry are bringing a lot of heavy machinery, including a helicopter and a plane, to get the fire under control.

So far the fire is about 97 percent contained.

Florida Forest Service said some homeless camps have been evacuated. No structures in danger at this time.
