A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after he was involved in a crash in Hernando County.
The crash happened at 11:40 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 50 and California Street in Spring Hill.
Troopers say Michael T. Barsanti, 50, of Brooksville, was driving a 2007 Lincoln north on California Street when he tried to make a left turn onto State Road 50, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At the same time, troopers say Michael E. Lentini Jr., 74, of Spring Hill, was riding a Harley Davidson east on State Road 50 when Barsanti turned in front of him.
The motorcycle collided with the left side of Barsanti's Lincoln, and Lentini was thrown onto the roadway.
Lentini was taken to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
The crash closed the roadway for several hours.
