A Hillsborough County deputy was involved in a shooting Sunday night in Tampa.

There were no injuries.

Authorities said deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 13000 block of  Lazy Oaks Drive just after 11 p.m.

When they arrived, deputies found a car at the home with bullet holes to a door and a shattered windshield. A wall of the home also had bullet holes.

While investigating, deputies encountered an armed man who lives at the residence.

That led to Deputy Andrew Glassman firing a shot at the man, who then dropped his gun, officials said.

Officials said it remains unclear what occurred at the scene prior to the deputies arrival where the multiple shots were fired. That man's identity has not been released. Officials said he is not cooperating with the investigation.

Another man, 25-year-old Widgi Marcelin, who officials said is a certified gang member, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Broward County.

Deputy Glassman has been placed on routine administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting.
